2020 was a challenging year. My husband and I thought that we would take the year to get our finances in order and begin browsing the market for our first home purchase. What we thought would be a leisurely home buying process turned into a race against time and the market.

With no end to the pandemic in sight, there was a shift to working from home. People realized they could work from anywhere. The fear of crowds and the current political climate led to the desire to move to more rural communities. That, coupled with a rise in construction costs, caused prices to skyrocket. We were in a seller’s market.

This was about the time we found out we were expecting our first child. We definitely wanted to be in our own home, rather than renting, before she got here. This is when we met Elijah. When our offer got accepted a month before our due date and our closing papers needed to be signed the day after our daughter was born, he helped to make it all happen, even with the restrictions and barriers COVID created.
We have now been in our house with our new baby for a month and it is fast becoming a home. We could not have gotten here without Elijah.

Elijah was my realtor for the sale of my place in Priest River/Vay, Idaho. He was so accommodating, patient, understanding, supportive, ahh, list goes on and on! It’s an understatement to say I knew very little about selling property. After a survey was done, we found out that my property was encroaching on the neighbor’s property, so lot line adjustments needed to be done. I'm a truck driver on the road 4 days a week. Elijah handled everything from contacting the neighbors and facilitating an agreement that worked for us all, to dealing with buyers that dragged out wanting to buy my place for months! After a lot of ups and downs with them, they backed out! He re-listed and sold my place, literally in hours! And it closed quickly!
